How to Use the a-Keratin Smoothing, Straightening & Repair System
10-Step Professional Guide
1. Diagnosis
Assess the client's hair type and condition. Identify whether the hair is natural, chemically treated, or
damaged.
2. Pre-Wash
Shampoo the hair twice using Pre-Treatment Shampoo 1 to remove buildup and open the cuticle.
3. Initial Drying
Detangle and towel dry. Blow-dry to:
- 80% dry for dry, damaged, or chemically treated hair
- 100% dry for natural/virgin hair
4. Treatment Application
- Wear disposable gloves.
- Section the hair into 4 parts.
- Apply Taming Fluid 2 section by section using a tint brush.
- Massage product into hair and distribute evenly with a wide-tooth comb.
- Use approx. 50-100g depending on hair length/thickness.
- Avoid contact with the scalp.
5. Processing Time
Cover the hair with a disposable cap and allow to process for 20-25 minutes.
6. Drying (Post-Treatment)
Do not rinse. Blow-dry the hair completely using a paddle or flat brush.
7. Straightening
- Work in fine sections (approx. 0.5 cm thick).
- Use a flat iron at:
- 180°C for damaged or chemically treated hair
- Up to 200°C for natural hair
- Pass the flat iron 8-10 times from roots to ends for optimal sealing.8. Rinsing
Allow the hair to cool for 5 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly for 3-5 minutes. If needed, cleanse lightly with a-Keratin Maintaining Shampoo.
9. Conditioning
Apply Conditioning Mask 3, leave on for 3-5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
10. Final Dry & Style
Blow-dry and style as desired
